Parking space problems

Next time build a wall behind it

An colleague's neighbour did something like that after they had both got fed up with people using their driveways as "free" parking - he had 2 tons of gravel delivered after a repetitive offender had parked on his driveway again. The owner of the car called the Old Bill who basically said "Tough".
After a few days he handed the car owner a shovel and simply said "start digging".
The problem wasn't repeated :T:T0 -
If you have allocated spaces the foldable bollard is the cheapest option. The otherway is to change the car park access from key pad to swipe card.
Failing this let the tires down, this does no damage and hopefully the car owner has a foot pump in their boot.
The pile of gravel is a classic and quite cheap, a pallet of bricks would also be quite a good way.0 -
The annoying thing is it's tennant's giving the code out. It's also an underground car park which is pretty cramped so no way would a tow truck fit.
I have a sign on the way saying the space is reserved yet some idiots still ignore it. I just don't want people parking in my spot. All cars should have a permit in the window.
I may get some of those stickers which are a pain to get off and stick them on cars if i see repeat offenders in the park- become a vigilant!!
Just worried about someone vandalising my car in retaliation.0 -

You say it is quite cramped could you put a chain and padlock up.0

Could be criminal damage, though....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Chain and padlock wouldn't be possible as i would be blocking my neighbours space too. A collapsable bollard would be fine. The idiot who parked on my space from fri to sunday is back today in someone else's. I just don't get how people can be so inconsiderate and have a "stuff you " attitude.0

The problem in England is people are far to polite :rotfl: You do that in another country and you will get the beating of your lifetime
Just look at the !!!! bus drivers and police put up with, if you caught a speeding Chav in the UK the police officer will be begging him and cuddling him to sign the ticket, in the states, you call the officer sir or officer and if you don't you get tasered if you are lucky or probably shot
I think having lived in lots of countries for my job, they should treat people like this in the language they understand.
I was in a place, where if this happened, you call the police, police come within 5 to 10 minutes, check to verify if you own space, another 2 minutes. Then the officer will apologise for the inconvenience you face, take his nightstick, smash car window, and put a few steel capped boot into the panels for good measure, then they will push/tow car out of space to a less restrictive location. They will probably smash a few lights as well.
Owner of the car will come scurrying,
a) if he argues and says he was just parked for a minute etc he will be subdued by truncheon, arrested for 24hours for being disorderly to the public, and his car towed away. When released if he drives car out of impound in the 100meters he will be arrested again for driving an unsafe vehicle (remember he has no lights  )
b) If he profusely apologises for the mistake of parking in someone's place only a record and warning will be given, but if he decides to drive the car, they will let him drive for a few meters and do him for driving an unsafe vehicle :rotfl:
c) the correct thing is to apologise and get his car towed away to be repaired :T
You never get people doing this type of arrogant !!!! after a treatment by the police like that, oh and you cannot get you car repaired under insurance as you wont get a police report

Yes, the problem is, in countries like that, the police are willing to intimidate anyone, not just illegal parkers. It is only a small step from there to protection rackets etc.
Not very nice. In fact, not :rotfl:at all.
I used to carry a nasal spray full of olive oil to put on windscreen wipers in situations like this. Always worked for me.
