Can anybody confirm what you do with regards to tax? As if I haven't yet begun trading, how do I estimate my income?

Consider what your revenue streams are and what influences the levels - no information is provided. For example are fees based on a fee per affilate sign up, commisson, advertising? You need to consider what is the likely (and realistic) numbers of (say) clients and multiply by the fee per client. Is there a relationship between volume of business & price you are charging, what is your current capacity, what does your informal/formal market research say, what about competitors?
Effectively any estimates will be based on a mix of assumptions you make, any history, research, market need, price points - any estimates that are made shoud be subject to a basic what if scenario, eg if income drops by x% the impact will be....0
