Short term car insurance

We need short term car insurance for a car that has been "left" to us. It is our intention to sell it, but we need to insure it until we do that - so we can take potential buyers for a spin. All the regular companies have massive admin charges for cancellation of an annual policy and are not interest in insuring it for a short term except at a massive price. There is one company that does short term insurance. The company is called E car insurance. Has anybody had dealings with them. They take a payment once a month off your card. You can then cancel on line and it takes no further payments. I would be grateful if anyone has a knowledgeable opinion on this.

If you have a current policy in force for your own car you may be able to add this vehicle as a temporary additional vehicle for up to a month on that policy.
Obviously no good if you do not have a car!0
