Is it not criminal misrepresentation to have a trading name that implies official status?

The restricted names criteria are quite brief.
    Companies House has the details.

Their website is full of nonsense. Take a look at this page which seems to have been lifted straight off a council website, with all that talk of "wardens" and "notice to owner".

Have you seen their Appeals page? It seems they have an "Appeals Review Committee" that "treats everyone in a like manner".
    By rejecting every appeal, presumably.

    Idiots.

Not to mention that you have to send the payment in with the appeal to avoid costs increasing. If that doesn't shout "SCAM" I don't know what does!
  • I'm in the middle of "ignoring" them. trouble is, I was driving a friend's car when i received the ticket. ( BOTH nurses, I couldn't get parked in the staff car park in hospital grounds (NO spaces) and parked in other area..rushing to get to work......didn't know that I wasn't allowed to park anywhere else! (TINY writing on sign!!!! right down at the bottom of long list of rules!) Anyway, they've been harassing her, I had to write and say that she was not driving ( they knew perviously anyway as I stupidly appealed before reading this forum). Now sent me a letter with black and white chequers down each side....trying to impersonate a police notice by any chance?!!!!!!!! I'm happy to ignore...........but can I confirm...they cannot chase the owner of the car? I know she is getting a bit upset by all these letters she has received.

Yes, just keep ignoring. They cannot go after the owner of the car. She might get some letters with meaningless pseudo-legal gobbledegook saying that the owner is liable, but that's a downright lie.

Details please. Which court was it, and what was the grounds for you losing the case?
