Accident 100% not my fault - insurance gone up £200

Last year's insurance premium was £247 which I was pleased with. A couple of weeks ago, someone drove in to my car in a car park - I wasn't even in the carpark at the time. Luckliy she left her details, and I am pursuing a claim through her insurance company using an accident assistance company not my insurance as I want to choose my own garage for the repairs.
My insurance is due for renewal in 2 weeks and my premium has gone up to £440 because I was honest about the incident. When I did price comparison websites, I did a quote with and without the incident, and again it was well over £100 different.
I feel so angry that I am being penalised for this, especially as I am not even using my own insurance to deal with it.
My question is - has anybody had a similar experience and how did they resolve it?
I am assuming I can't try and claim this as an uninsured loss?!
Does anyone know of any companies that look fairly into incidents?

Yeh, statistically after you have a non fault accident your more likely to have a 'fault' one the insurers say, therefore you are charged more =/

You can get the extra money you will have to pay back.

Our claim has been ongoing for 3 years and we have also seen a rise in our premium. The accident wasnt our fault .We have even changed insurance companys since and have been told just to ring them when its all sorted out and they will refund the extra. Both companys have told us this, obviously its not something you can do over the net when you want to renew or get a new insurance company you have to tell them over the 'phone so they can input this on there records

Until the claim is settled it isn't guaranteed to be "100% not your fault". This will be weighting your premium.

If you want to choose you own garage you have to pay I think its the excess, but dont quote me on that. I remember we had to pay £300 so we could go through a BMW bodywork shop and not one recommend by the insurers as we wanted the paintwork to be spot on. We still havent got that money back but when the claims settled we will. Im not sure how these accident assistance companies work though
