Acer 5735 laptop running Vista.
Keyboard works fine in Windows but in a DOS Command box it types in American, ie " comes up as @ and vice versa.
Checked the Keyboard and Language settings and can't see anything there.
Checked the Keyboard settings and seems OK there.
Any suggestions?

Hi, your dos settings are probably still American, in the DOS prompt you can type:
KB16 UK and press Enter, you won't get a response but also won't get an error.
A permanent fix is to add a new line to your autoexec.nt file:
LH KB16 UK,,%/SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\KEYBOARD.SYS0 -
Works a treat! Thank you.0
