learner driver insurance with mods

I am a retired driving instructor, whose daughter wants me to teach her to drive. To do this, the obvious thing for me to do is equip the car with dual controls (cheap and easy enough for a supplier to fit).
I can get plenty of insurers to offer to insure my daughter as an accompanied learner, but as soon as I mention fitting dual controls, they say it's a modification and refuse to insure.
I can't get cover as an instructor as I've let my instructor's (ADI) licence expire.
Can anyone suggest a company who might be amenable?

Lots of parents manage to teach their children to drive without dual controls - and what about the children who have lessons with a driving school and then drive with parents inbetween?
Why don't you just save the money - depending on how old your daughter is you may want to give her that money towards her insurance!0 -
I don't know for sure but I would think an Insurance company expects you to recoup the after market fitting of dual controls by 'unofficially' learning people to drive. It's like saying I have a two way radio fitted but I'm not going to use the car as a Taxi.
