We are now living in France and cannot afford to pay our monthly payment on our English Bank credit card...We have spent all our savings while living here and only have our house in France as security ....with the cost of living here we have been trying to sell it for over 2 years to have some capital and pay up the outstanding balance of £9,000 is there an easy way of reducing the payments or even stopping the payments as we no longer live in England?

Sorry ann, I have no advice but I'm sure someone can give you the help and support you need (without judging your actions). It sound like you are trying hard to do what you can, selling the house, to try to meet the payments.
Good luck.0 -
Live more frugally and offer to pay the card off at what you come up with. £9000 is not really that big a debt. Many people with larger debts have tightened their belts and succeeded in becoming debt free.
It largely depends on how motivated you are to do that.
See the debt free wannabee board. They will give plenty of good advice.0
