Trying to insure empty wasteland
Sootie
I work for a company that owns a plot of empty wasteland in Northamptonshire, with the intention of building on it in 5-10yrs time. Meanwhile we need an insurance that if anybody gets over the 6 ft fence that surrounds 3 sides and a 6 ft wall the 4th side and hurt themselves then we are covered by the appropriate insurance. Insurers I call want to sell me all sorts of policies, but these offer so much more than we actually need and of course the premium reflects this. Can anybody help with a company name and telephone number that will provide just a liability insurance for an empty and flattened plot of land ?
Thanks

You need a property owners liability policy which will cover liability claims against you as the property owner.
Try this company http://www.thisinsurance.co.uk/0 -
Alternatively, try your current insurers and ask them to add it to the policy for an additional premium.0
