Allianz cornhill

Just a quick query,

Ages ago I noticed a direct debit of £5.99 was coming out of my account and was labelled as "ALLIANZ CORNHILL". I cancelled it, as I believe it was left over from when my mobile phone was insured years ago.

I've since changed mbiles a few times, so if it is from that it's irrelevant.

Is mobile phone insurance often farmed out to ALLIANZ CORNHILL and was there any problem in me cancelling it?

Apologies am a bit ignorant in such matters.

Allianz do other insurances too, so be careful before gayly cancelling Direct Debt agreements.

Why dont you call Allianz with the Originator's Reference number (should be on your statment), so they can tell you what it is for.

You dont want to either:

1. Cancel an insurance that you need
2. Be in breach of policy conditions (i.e if there is a notice period for whatever insurance the DD refers to).
