Mackenzie hall help needed please

Hello all I would dearly like some advice if possible please bare with me as this may be a little long winded.
I have received a letter in the post today (it was actually addressed to my maiden name I have been married for 4 years) and I have only lived in this property for 4 weeks, anyway its from a company called Mackenzie hall but the actual email address is aktivkapital@mackenziehall.co.uk and I don't know what to do, this is what the letter says
Dear ***********
Our Ref ************ Client Ref **********

We are attempting to contact the above named person regarding a personal matter. We have been provided your address as being the possible residential details for our subject.
Therefore if you are the person named above, then please contact our office immediately on telephone number 08444115679 quoting reference number M******** whereupon further detailed information can be provided.
If however you are not the person named above and/or have any information regarding the persons possible whereabouts then please contact our investigation team in confidence on the alternative phone number 08444115679.

We look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.

Have you noticed that the 2 numbers are the same although it states alternative, Now I do know that I have not got any recent debt although do have a couple from 8/9 years ago. Any advice on what to do please as this has really worried me, should I ring them whats my next step.

Typical Aktiv/Hall SCUM tactics , firsly , dont be worrying ,the chances are any debt these shysters are chasing is Staue Barred , they are just trying to catch fish...

If it was me , they would be going in the bin...but others here may advise a certain response letter , they will be along shortly i should think

NO DO NOT RING THEM , never ever ring a dca , file it in the dustbin after shredding ,

File under B (for bin).

Wait for letter 2, if no letter 2 comes then they were trying it on massively. If letter no.2 does come they're just trying it on a lot. The response to letter 2 would either be silence again, or the prove it letter.

Do you recognise the debt? Do they refer to the originating company or amount in the reference and if so is it familliar? I ask because if you really have no idea then there's every chance they're looking for a Miss Jo Bloggs and have sent this to every one of the 43 Miss Jo Bloggs' in your local area. When that doesn't work they get creative and go for Miss Jane Bloggs and Mr Joe Blaggs too! All the more reason to ignore for longer if that's looking possible.

Thanks for the quick response, what I posted is the exact wording in the letter I received there is no mention of who the debt is too or for what amount, like I said its well near the 8/9 year mark since I had any debt and yes it may still be outstanding but to whom I have no idea. It has just scared me as I have only lived in this property for 4 weeks and I have not used my maiden name in 4 years so how have they found this address. I have read some really nasty reports on this company but what I also don,t understand is I thought Aktivkapital and Mackenzie Hall were 2 different companies as i looked them up on the internet so why is the email address Aktivkapital@mackenziehall.

Most debt agencies are interlinked , or owned by the same people , its mostly all done to save them costs but inflict upmost confusion on the people they target

Thank you will do that, just need to tell myself to stop worrying although from now on I shall be dreading the postman each day and I just pray I don't get another one will keep you posted
