Help this is most daft question I ever post on here and can't solve it!. Here I go running Windows 7 and at the start my lcd keeps going into standby (Energy saving mode when first turn on pc) I can't see the dos loading on my lcd. But then when windows 7 come onto my screen (startup) I can see the screen!. Any ideas so I can see the dos screen?. Thanks.

What is this "dos screen" that you say you are/are not seeing?
Do you mean a Command Prompt window?0 -
I'd guess the OP means the BIOS status and bootloader output prior to Windows starting up...
Perhaps these are trying to use a screen refresh rate that the monitor does not support? Or maybe if this is a desktop with both onboard graphics and a separate graphics card, it may be initialising with the onboard, and then switching to the other graphics card just before Windows loads?
If the latter, disabling the onboard graphics in the BIOS may solve it.0 -

Thanks for this yes it is "BIOS status and bootloader output prior to Windows starting up... " can't see this screen. I try this way.
Nothing to do with extra graphics card because I have on board card.0 -
Take a look in the BIOS setup pages, and see if you have something with a name like "Quiet Boot" or "Silent Boot" (the name varies from make to make) enabled. Some makes of BIOS have this feature to suppress all screen output during POST, and sometimes the default is "enabled".0
