Hi, does anyone know of any insurance companies that cover people with fibromyalgia. Because i'm on anti depressants, pain killers and muscle relaxants, oh and can't work due to pain, i am struggling to find someone to cover me. We are currently paying over £100 for it and want to save some money. Its to cover the mortgage as well. any suggestions would be great.

You need to use an IFA / broker who is willing to do some leg work for you. A good one will take some details then call the insurers underwritiers one by one to ascertain which will likely offer best term. This level of research can be very valuable as insurers vary considerably when it comes to how they asses certain conditions and therefore the percieved risk.
The difficulty is in finding someone willing to do the research as it is very time consuming.
Did you have this condition when you applied for your current cover?0 -
no i didn't.but i apparently omitted some info on the original form so my claim has been declined. i prob had the condition then buth ave no proof - memory poor etc.
will try a broker for them to do leg work - mine aren't that good ha ha

You will also need to disclose the fact that you had a claim rejected due to non disclosure. That may limit your choices even further.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
