Conservatory guarantees

I'll (hopefully) be moving house, and we're due to complete in a few days. One of the things that's possibly going to hold things back is the guarantee for the conservatory. Our solicitor hasn't received it yet (the sellers have misplaced it) but we're told we can still complete if we're happy to have it forwarded on to us. The sellers are also willing to do this.
The conservatory was erected in 2006 by Dunraven Windows, and it had a 10 year guarantee. In order to keep things on schedule, I called the company to see if there would be any issue in transferring the guarantee to us. They say that whilst they used to transfer guarantees for a fee, they no longer do that. This now means that once we have exchanged contracts, the guarantee on the conservatory will be void.
This sounds to me like a get-out clause (people move homes all the time). Am I being naive in thinking that a guarantee on a conservatory should apply to that conservatory, no matter who's going to be living in the house? Until I can read the original paperwork the sellers received, I don't really know where I stand.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but yes, that is naive I am afraid.
You will have to wait and see what the contract says.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
I think that its normal nowadays, and its probably in the notes
on the original guarantee that is not transferrable.
Hope they find it and then you can at least checkmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
