IVA & Mortgage payment holidays

Hello

We were told at one stage of the IVA proceedure that we could ask NR for a payment holiday on the mortgage if there was a sudden unexpected cost.
Has anyone else done this- are NR likely to agree? & will they inform the IVA company?

Thanks

  • dont know about mortgage holidays but in my IVA i can take a payment break with the IP approval for unexpected expenses which I had to justify to the IP. Depends why you need the payment break it should say in your paperwork about it.

Would be better payment break in the IVA rather than the mortgage as it would put you in arrears and then risk losing the house???
