But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important

Thanks for starting the thread DNMS - you were up early today as always.
Today should be a reasonably DFW day. So far I have:- run DW overnight on Economy 7
- run WM overnight on Economy 7 - 2nd load in and the rate doesn't change until 7.30am

- checked banking - a little ovedrawn but less than £15
- checked for surveys
- fed and watered chickens
- prepared a lunch for work
- take bike to work as it uses less petrol (only used £20 in 2 months & I work full-time!)

- look for my neck-warmer instead of buying a new one
- hang washing outside if weather okay, otherwise on airer
- have meals from stores
- make granola when I get home
- have an NSD

So today I will:
- Check bank and update spreadsheet
- Share lift to/from work with OH
- HM lunch to work

That’ll do for now. Be back later to catch up and update.

Just a little update - been to the park with the dog and called in at the butchers on the way home to get some bacon for OH's tea - instead of buying a pack from the Spar that won't all get used and I got three nice thick rashers for 90p:j.
I also had a look around the greengrocers and there's lots of bargains to be had but I didn't buy anything - we have to use up what we have first.
Came home to a letter from Lloyds who are now investigating my PPI claim - said it would be resolved within 8 weeks - you never know. I won't give up without a fight though!;)0 -
