  • semi good start to today remembered to take my phone charger to work to use their electric to charge my phone and not mine yay !!!
not so good is the mcdonalds breakfast I had on the way in to work which I had to pay for (of course it's drive thru not drive off):(
but I did bring my food which were all whoopsie's so don't have to go buy anything for dinner.

    to do today

    start menu planning
    list all debts together
cook my evening meal and don't buy anything else unless absolutely essential (like petrol on the way home)
try some cosmic ordering cos if it does work yay if it doesn't it was free !!:D

  • hi diary, well i've started listing all our debts and got a list of our outgoings (dd's etc) so once I get a chance will post a SOA, gonna start menu planning soon if i can stay awake, youngest crawled into my bed at 4.45am saying he'd had a bad dream, was quickly followed by middle one saying same so didn't get much sleep  not good as i only went to bed at 11.30am and really should have got up again at 6 to get to work, eventually crawled out at 8 but hadn't had more than 10 mins in between those times............ thank god for flexible working....... was able to get in late and go home earlier......... only downside gotta stay later tomorrow.
good news tho we've tax'd insured and mot'd DP's car so now on weekends myself and kiddies aren't confined to house and DP and kiddies aren't confined during the week.:D
that will certainly make for a happier household.

DP made me a lovely omlette for tea so I didn't have to cook or buy anything what an :A

    well menu planning i go

I've just spoke to my tutor at college and he is refusing to tell me or give me any indication of my mark before it goes to be second marked..........then he got me all confused saying I shuld have received a letter saying one thing but it said another and then to top it all he couldn't tell me whether I need to submit a letter to the september board to ask to redo module because he doesn't know what the procedure is or what my options are !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck with the debtbusting Loony, and that's a shame about your tutor. Is there no one else you can ask to help?

  • hi jwil, no their isn't, unfortunately the lecturer whose assignment it is, is avoiding my phone calls and has said in an email that he cannot discuss it with me until the 2nd marker has 2nd marked it.
I did ask for an indication i.e. is it just below or way below cos then if it's just below the 2nd marker may bump it up.
However I'm going to throw myself into debt busting to take my mind off it and see what happens, if the worst comes to it I'll see what I can sort out.
I will go to the parent uni to get it sorted (I was studying at a partner college) really wish I'd never gone there and went to the parent uni instead, so many people who've done the course where I was have had so many problem with tutors, lecturers the course etc.
Says it all when a college that cost £50 million to build and has bright shiney new facilities, has to hold some of the degree course classes in the upstairs room of the local student pub because they didn't build enough rooms for what was needed
shows how bloody organised they are :rotfl:

    Hiya,
Thought I'd pop over and say Hi :hello:
How are you going with the menu plans? Have you had a chance to compile a full SOA etc yet (apologies if you've posted it on the main board and I've missed it!) Before we did our SOA we were just spending whatever was left in our J/acc on groceries (and so often had nothing left by week 3 of the month!), but since we've set a monthly budget and started cooking in a more frugal OS way we don't run out and are spending less, and I don't think our diet has suffered at all. DH hasn't complained anyway ;)

I found it really helpful to set some goals (and write them on my diary) as it focusses my thoughts when I want to spend rather than overpay etc. Must go back and review my goals actually.....

Good luck, I've subscribed so I'll be popping back in to check on you! :p

  • well lets get the bad news out of the way ....... I didn't pass my assignment, which means I may have to re-do module costing £500  unless I can find some way round it but I doubt it.
However onto the good news, spurred on by others efforts I've decided to get fitter and learn to jog.
I go to my local reservoir which is v.small (1.38 miles all the way around)
I walk for 3 minutes then jog for 30 seconds followed by walking for 3 mins then jog for 30 secs and I keep on repeating this till I get all the way round and back to my car (I start from my car)
I've been twice so far the first time it took me 37 mins, the second time it took 34 mins 25 secs :T:j so I've already knocked 2mins 35 secs off my time and it felt easier too yay yay yay.
So I will continue with this and see how I do, I'm gonna aim to increase the time spent jogging by 10 secs once it feels a bit too easy but I may bring this forward depending on how I feel.

That's a shame about your assignment, how annoying!

That's good news about the jogging though, and a pretty good improvement there too, well done!

This made me laugh - that's totally my knee-jerk reaction to dealing with difficult things! Glad to hear you plumped for jogging instead!
