After using my headphones on my pc I have no sound coming from the speakers after unplugging them. It happened once before and I did a restart and the sound came back but that has not worked this time. I have been into sounds settings but cannot see what has gone wrong. can anyone help please?

read the thread and try the solutions given here. It seems its a driver issue, assuming there is no physical damage to your headphone socket causing it to think they are still connected.0 -
I have solved the problem. I found the jack from the speakers hanging out of the socket at back of pc. I think one of the cats probably knocked it. Thank you for your help.0
