  • Hi Gem,

It was taking at least 2 weeks for them to get money to me when my ex was paying by Standing order, he is now back on DEO, so it will probably take at least a month, I don't expect to get the money taken from Julys wages till September. My case is clerical though so that may be adding to the wait.

  • Welcome to the twilight zone, gem. I allow up to a month for a DEO. The employer has time to send the CSA money, they have time to send it to your bank, your bank has time to clear it...

hi, thanks for taking the time to reply.
phoned them today............"someone accidentally put a hold on sending you the money,it's been sitting here since the 6th august"
will take 3-5 WORKING days from now!
    sorry,what is a DEO?
    money isn't paid via employer,straight from ex-husband.
    glad i phoned.
  • DEO is a deduction of earnings order, the money comes from the employer direct, if the NRP is non compliant with the CSA.

My payments are with a DEO (I think - all they have said to me is that they are waiting on his employers to send them the money) from my ex for maintenance. He gets paid on the 17th, I still havent received it from last month. CSA tell me his employer has until the 19th this month to pay it to them. I have to wait to recall them tomorrow morning where they can then chase it. Its arrears too so its money I need for school uniform and birthday parties of which he wont pay anything towards, but not holding my breath!
