how long for payout from Blackhorse

Hi

Can anyone confirm how long they waited for payout from ppi success from Blackhorse. I don't like how they do not give any figures when accepting offer. I emailed director to ask for figures and he said would tell claims dept to get them to me, I wonder how long it will take. Anyone, done this?

    Hi

I have not dealt with this company myself but I would give them about 7-14 days max to get them to you, if your on a timescale to accept the offer then I would make sure they send them to you for ASAP.

Hopefully someone who have dealt with them will post up to let you know, good luck.;)

I received my cheque in just under 3 weeks from returning the acceptance form and that was last month so would assume yours will be about the same time frame.

I would'nt worry to much about the figures as they will send you a full breakdown of the refund a couple of days before you receive the cheque.

  • Hi

I saw you message and wanted to ask how Blackhorse initially responded to your claim request and how you responded to them or what other action you took.

Look forward to hearing from you.

I just wrote one letter saying that PPI was mis-sold because I get paid when off (full pay) and also that they never explained the ppi or costs, told we must take it to get loan. (this loan was in 2003).

They sent letter back saying they did not think they had mis-sold to us but would reimburse us under FOS rules with interest etc.
  • Hi, I started my claim with Blackhorse at the beginning of April, and they advised that they are refunded all my premiums with interest. I had to sign the acceptance - they do not calculate figures I was told by them until you accept it - I have been told it takes them 8 weeks to issue refund - this can't be right - that will be over 6 months from start to finish!!
  • I sent a letter to BlackHorse (BH) on 5th August '10 asking for repayment of PPI plus interest they responded on 10th August '10 stating that they did not believe the PPI was mis-sold, I went back with evidence on the 18th August '10 requesting that they look into my complaint again. I then got a letter on 25th August '10 advising that my letter is being dealt with and will be in touch in due course.

If I do not receive a response in 14 days I will follow it up.

Has anybody else been in this situation?

Look forward to hearing from you.

    Best regards

Hi, if you do not receive a response in 14 days time (and providing it is 8 weeks since first complaining) you would be free to take it to FOS. Good luck.
