Giving notice on rented property

We are currently in the process of buying our first house, and are living in rented accommodation at the moment. We have to give 30 days notice to end the tenancy, which must coincide with the rent date (26th of the month).
We were thinking about giving our notice this month, which would mean moving out at the end of October. If our house purchase hasn't completed by then we will be able to move in with our parents temporarily. Just don't want to wait and then end up paying rent and a mortgage!! The only thing I am unsure about is changing our address - would it be ok to change the address for our credit cards for one month to my parents and then to the new house when we move in, or is that just too complicated? anyone had any experience of this before?
Thanks

hi, I think your best bet is to organise forwarding for a month or so, just whilst you change houses, that way you won't miss out on any bills etc.
Organised through the post office.0 -
thanks for that, so I don't actually need to notify the companies until we have our new permanent address at the house we are buying? Just trying to minimise the hassle as much as possible!
Thanks

the fewer addresses you have registered, the less it will affect your credit rating in the future.0

Thats what I thought, so I didn't want to inform the bank and credit card companies until we have our new permanent address! Can't see us being at my mum and dads for more than a month hopefully!
Thanks everyone

Hi, just been thinking about this again (can you tell I'm a worrier!!) - if we redirect our mail to my mums for 1-2 months while our house purchase goes through and then when we move inform the credit card companies and bank of our new address, will this adversely affect our credit rating?
Sorry for the endless questions, this is just all new to me!
Thanks

No it won't affect your credit rating. The post office are sending the post from your old address to your parent's - and the credit card companies etc.. won't know about it.0
