Empty home insurance

We have bought a new home, but not yet sold our old home. I need buildings & contents insurance for our old home, which will be vacant (but with some contents in it) until sold. Any recommendations on insurers or policies to consider?

We are in a similar situation (sounds like we're so flush but it's just very difficult to relocate the distance we are going with all the animals we have any other way).
The best quote we've found so far is Directline BUT they have a 3rd Party exclusion, which we think is a bit mean & we're dithering about accepting it. We used UIA when we relocated previously, but not sure if it's compulsory to be a union member to access their services.
I'll be interested to see if anyone else on here has other suggestions as we're finding it very difficult to get an insurer.
Good luck in your new home
