help with hedgerow forraged fruit
I have found the following 2 fruits in a sort of hedgerow on the way to work, both have a peachy cherry type smell and both are ripe, before I eat them I want to check if they are poisonous.
Looking at the pics are they safe to eat?

The council used them as a hedging plant around here - some seem to come out red, some yellow.... but although edible, they don't seem to be very tasty.0

I don't think so, but if you go out and eat tiny plums that turn out to be sloes, you will know it!Just wondered if there are any 'plum looking' trees that are actually poisonous? Does anyone know?
We have some sloes round here, almost the size of bullaces.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

This. Both of these were used as hedging plants in Cambridgeshire when I was a kid and they are great for cooking + jams etc. Mirabelle's are pretty good to eat IMO- we called them my-ra-bellas!0 -
