Naff customer services from big supermerket

Can't believe how naff my local store is....

just printed of money off coupons for a free can of morgans spiced rum - my store won't accept them as they have had problems in the past, but apparantly other stores in the area do.....

if i wanted to try the Wakefield branch they would accept, i don't drive so that would make the round trip taxi fare so worth my while....

it wouldn't have annoyed me so much if other stores in the chain didn't accepth them, the whole company just wouldn't be participating......

and they tried to argue with me about my statutory rights, saying when i wanted to return faulty bra that i had to have the receipt, the bank statement wasn't enough.... URM no!!!!!! proof of purchase, and the fact that it was made by George should have given them a clue to the fact that it was bought there. 10 days ago in fact........

Sorry, that's incorrect. I work for the company you've mentioned and it's never been our policy to request a receipt for George clothing. You should have been offered an exchange or store credit if you didn't have your receipt. They only thing we don't do is cash refunds for clothing without a receipt. Are you saying that you were told nothing could be done for you? What was offered?

You can't have been paying attention at work then. There have been lots of posts on this board about the policy changing to no refunds or exchange without a receipt.
