I know there was a post on MOT checks, but just wanted a quick run through on everything I can do my end before the test

I have just inflated tyres, had oil, water, lights, windscreen wash check and all fine..

Anything else to get me through??

This site seems to have a lot of info on the MOT test:

    OK..
Did you check the tread on the tyres?
    Have you checked the horn?
Check the pedal rubbers are there.
Check the seatbelts all work and that they're not frayed.

I could talk you through a full MOT but it depends on whether you want to jack the car up and get underneath it or not. :D

The BBC got info on MOT failure rates.
There is a link to a huge excel spreadsheet half way down the page that will let you see how each make & model & year performed in MOT tests in 2007.

Might help if you can find your car on there.
