Just trying to gauge opinion before I approach a board guide.
Do we think they need reducing and tidying up?
"FAQ's - Techie Q's & A's" is a locked post which has not been updated for just under four years - so it will be linking to some very old threads which will be out of date.
There is an excellent guide to Backing Up by superscaper - I'm not sure why need need a separate sticky thread with a poll asking how often you backup?
"What Security do you use?" seems redundant when there are two other security threads.
"Wireless - Look here! File & Printer Sharing too" is only averaging one post a month this year, and seems less relevant than when the thread was started in 2005 when wireless was new to most people.
Does anyone have any thoughts? Ideally about this post, not about what you are going to have for dinner

Totally agree. No need for any of them really as they are just used as discussion threads and sticky parts out of date in most cases as you state.
Would save a lot of scrolling as well

The poll on backing up definitely needs unstickying - it's over five years olf and the poll itself has been closed to new responses for years. There's a separate stickied guide to backing up, so there's no need for the poll thread to be up there. I have reported this to the board guides several times but noone ever bothers to reply.
Too many stickies means that new posters don't bother to read any of them, and just end up posting the same old questions over again in the main forum - e.g. which is the best antivirus. If the "What security do you use" sticky was more appropriately names, and had an actual regularly updated guide in the first post rather than just a list of questions, then it would be much more useful.
The 'Wireless' sticky is also five years old and hideously outdated.
Trim the stickies, and make the ones that are there more useful.poppy100 -
Unsticky all of them. If people have a question, let them post their question and get a response.0
