cant sell on ebay any more (refuse to use c/cards) and getting no response from the free ad papers..what im after is something free like freecycle in my local area but that is for selling and buying stuff without having to register or give them card details..does such a thing exist?

You don't have to accept credit cards on ebay, just use the cheque/postal order only option. Only send item when payment is cleared. Nowt wrong with that IMO!

I think you might have to register a credit or debit card with ebay but it doesn't mean anything will be taken from it unless you set up an automatic payment for your sellers fees to it. You can pay by cheque, I have in the past.
Have you also tried Amazon to sell books/cd's/dvd's?0 -
FI you've sold on eBay previously, why can't you carry on? I'm not aware of any sites that let you advertise stuff without registering, but there are some which don't require credit card details. I'm fairly sure Bootbay doesn't.
You'd probably get a better response to your question on the EBay & other Auctions, Car Boot Sales and Jumble Sales board: even though your query might not fit into those categories, it is where alternatives to ebay are sometimes discussed.0 -
Have you considered looking at https://www.gumtree.com - it's a bit like a classifieds paper, not sure what area you're in but they do seem to add new places occasionally.

Hello pumpa
I'll move your thread over to the 'Ebay & other auctions' board, where it should get more views and responses.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.
