Macerator 5amp fuse blown

Hi folks
The fuse in my macerator keeps blowing up within seconds.
It has been playing up recently so time to strip it back and have a look. Nothing is blocking the device. Now the fuse keeps blowing.
Any tips? No replies slagging off macerators thanks, I've read them all already and that's not really what I'm after here.
Many thanks in advance.

forgive me if this is obvious
starting to blow 5amp fuses means that 1.2 kws are being drawn (plus a fair bit). I assume this is way above the rating of the device. Something is shorted or jamming. If this started after your stripdown, then the stripdown caused it -or- more likely, it was the "last straw" for part of the circuit. Try the stripdown again (definately unplugged first!) . If you can't see anything and it still is blowing fuses - new unit or interesting project around full-stripdown, trouble shooting, obtaining parts and re-building. Can't be too complicated a circuit though. Good Luck

Saniflo domestic and commercial 'poo' single toilet macipumps are 400-750W, so blowing a fuse at >1200W would suggest the motor is not turning due to fouled impellor.
Not many things cause an electric motor to draw excess current other than physical obstruction.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0
