My boyf's mum swears by Emmanuelle in Neath (just by Argos & M&S) and to be fair, her hair always looks very nice and she is very particular! She has both cut and colour. Hope this might help :-)0

My appt. was for 2.00pm today with Kevin at The Hairshop' Kingsway, Swansea; ten minutes later I had my hair washed, was ready for the style of my life, but lo and behold Kevin was nowhere to be seen. Twenty minutes passed, still no Kevin; a concerned member of staff called him on his mobile and he said 'He won't be long' a while later Kevin 'phoned called the shop to say he would be another 10 minutes!!!!! I must say that the staff were apologetic, and offered to cut my hair, but 'olderandwiser' thought 'if Kevin treats his customers like this, he's got a lot to learn' I asked for my jacket and walked! Funny looks from quite a few people on a busy Friday, but once I mentioned my experience they understood. Sorry Kevin, you're not that good!0

My girlfriend's a mobile hairdresser, and reasonably priced, she does Llanelli/Carmarthen area if anyone is interested.
She used to lecture hair in Graig CCTA and Pembrokeshire college, has L'Oreal colour qualifications, 14 years of hair dressing experience, very approachable, sympathetic and reliable.
Has also revived hair that's been badly damaged, colour correction etc..
and even taught me to cut hair too!
if you guys are interested, get your hair done in jan/feb and get 10% off if you mention you got it off this site
just let me know..
ed.
ps: if you want a price list, let me know
Would you girlfriend go to Swansea?

I especially like the fact that these people won't touch your hair until they've examined it 'dry' so that they can be sure they're cutting a style suitable for your hair type.
I'm glad you've posted this as it's reminded me to book an appointment with them instead of going back to the useless stylist I've been going to recently.0 -
I used to go to Biomorphic too...only realised it was closed when i read about it in the evening post!! I now go to Pure Aveda on SA1 and they are fab there. You can either chose to pay £30 or £35 for a wash cut and blow dry. In with the price you also get a scalp massage and a drink!! Everyone who works there are also very friendly0

How much does a haircut cost in the UK..? is there any difference in Swansea? my hair is just too long, and the only thing i want to do is cut it a little bit.. meaning no special haircut.. how much could this cost?

Sculptures in Hendy is superb. I used to use very expensive salons and only went to Sculptures the first time as it was a last-minute thing and I'm converted - been going there for 4 years now. I've got really difficult hair but Angela (the owner) is the first hairdresser who's really known what to do with it, and she shows me how to do the things she's doing too, so that I can keep the style looking good. She's also given me great colour advise, and I also had my hair permanently straightened with her which was stunnign (needs doing again now, but lasted 18 months and everyone was amazed at how it looked) The prices are amazing too. Definately give them a go, they're really friendly too.
I've been going to Angela for over 10 years in numerous salons! Brill hairdresser.0
