U Switch.com and Npower

I have just switched provider (Started process in July 2006) went live 2 weeks ago for both gas and electric to Npower. I thought I would run a price comparison on both websites Uswitch.com and engerywatch. Both advised the cheapest is Npower dual fuel online but both sites quoted the old prices! (I.e pre October 2006). After speaking to customer service at USwitch the guy mentioned prices have not increased for the NPOWER dual fuel online tariff and anybody who signs up to Npower on this tariff will remain on these prices. I phoned Npower and checked with them and they confirmed this is true! I.e. customers who today take out the Npower Dual fuel online tariff today (or till they change the package) will remain on the old prices? This does not sound right but this is the information I have been told! The guy at Uswitch advised it would be unlikely the prices will increase for new customers only previous customers will be affected by the price increase?

Do I trust Npower - No!!

U Switch customer services advised me Scottish Hydro Electric will not be increasing there prices for both gas and electric till mid 2007????? (Last increase was May 06)

Any thoughts.
