in Wales

Does anyone know if there are any schools in the cardiff or pontypridd/treforest area looking for helpers or volenteers this september? I dont know if primary schools still need people to help with reading lessons or things like that?

  • Hi I live in Caerphilly!

Don't know offhand but it may be worth ringing the education department of the local councils and asking them if they have any vacancies, also the council websites usually have things advertised on their jobs pages.

Perhaps ring round the schools closest to you and ask them?

You would need to get a CRB check though if you're going to be working with children.
  • I'm a volunteer in two schools (not in wales though), and they are always looking for volunteers. I'm sure if you have a ring around you will find a volunteer placement. I generally hear reading, and work one to one if extra help is needed and the teachers are always very grateful.
