    Thanks for reminding me.

I just remembered the reason I didn't buy truecall was I came up with another idea I had forgotten about.

No overlap with truecall and not even aimed at the same market - also not implemented and would require a lot of cash.

Calling them made me laugh out loud - after I used the automatic system I was asked if I wanted information on how to block ALL silent/sales calls etc.

I thought that this was a good idea so hung on to see what happened next...

The recorded message asked me to leave my number so that a salesperson could call me about the purchasing the system.

I get 1 or 2 silent calls a day sometimes - how would anyone know that they had been called by Homeserve ?? ...how would they prove it anyway??

On returning home from work, I checked 1471 everyday for the last few weeks and there was a new 'number withheld' message almost every single day. I then registered online with silentgard a week ago and I've not had a single 'number withheld' message on 1471 since.

Press answer button then end call button. Don't speak.

They say they (luckily for us) have a record of all the silent calls they made.

All they need to do is check your number against that list, then refuse your claim!

Very efficient service from such a caring outfit.

More nuisance calls today from "Green Energy". They seem to call a couple of times after I tell them to "go away".

I've been silent called 3 times already this morning - 08435600005 - a quick Google doesn't show it up as a "nuisance" number. Anyone else??
