Travel insurance for a walking holiday

Hi, Me and my wife are going on an escorted walking holiday for two weeks in Italy.. Which type of travel insurance would be best??
Of course I’m no expert.

You need a policy that provides the cover that you need. Do you have existing medical conditions that you need cover for? Is baggage already covered under your household policy? Is this a package holiday etc.
At the end of the day people cannot tell you what cover you need - the cover that you need is what best suits your situation and is the price you want to pay. No point in getting a cheap policy with exclusions for pre-existing conditions etc. People will need a little more info to try and assist you.0 -
Thanks for your reply... my possessions are covered by my home insurance so I guess I can exclude that, my holiday is covered by abta so I wont need that. I have a european health card so I guess I just need to cover the excess and repatriation is probably all i need .......A lot of polices include stuff you won't need as you all ready have them So I should go and talk to a broker is probably my best bet..

Just be aware that the EHIC will only provide the level of cover offered in that country which might not be anywhere as good as you would get in the UK under the NHS.0

Try searching Ramblers Travel Insurance. A compnay called Ramblers Holidays can provide insurance for, well, rambling holidays!0
