Two numbers on one landline

My wife currently runs a small business and has her mobile number as the main point of contact. She thinks that the business might do a bit better if she were to have a standard geographical number instead. We currently pay for our landline through O2 (along with her mobile contract and broadband). Does anyone know if it's possible to have a second number attached to our landline (with some alternative ringtone preferable)?
Thanks,
Simon

There used to be an offer from BT called CALLSIGN, which did what you want, however and as far as I know this has now been withdrawn.
If your broadband connection is of reasonable speed and you have an adsl modem with more then 1 network port you could go VOIP. You can get a FREE incoming number from Sipgate. www.sipgate.co.uk.
The have local numbers on many exchanges.
go here https://secure.sipgate.co.uk/user/reg/uk/ and check the exchanges.
You can then purchase either a voip phone and connect it to the modem, or download software to run on your computer (sipgate), the drawback on software is that your computer would always have to be on, and you would use either a microphone and speakers, or headset with mic, or a USB phone.
If you buy a proper phone then your computer does not need to be on, just the modem.

If you need to use them for outbound calls, then

1000 minutes outbound per month

I have a couple of numbers and use both hardware and software, and it works very well.
I am not associated with Sipgate, just a happy user.0 -
I use SipGate too - their service works very well. It's probably worth mentioning a couple of alternative ways to use it:
1. By a VoIP adapter like this one http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop/ShopDetail.asp?ProductID=3508 (you can probably get it cheaper on ebay), connect it to your broadband router, and plug in a normal telephone (you may need a plug adapter as it has the US-style RJ11 phone sockets).
2. Buy some credit in your SIPGate account and set the SIPGate number to forward to your normal landline number. You'll be charged the standard rate for a UK landline. However, you probably won't be able to tell whether a call is business or personal.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0 -

You want Call Sign. O2 list it as available for business customers but it is not on this document:

I'd phone and ask.0 -
O2 Landline (Biz) offers Callsign

O2 Homephone does not offer it.0 -

BT still offer CallSign. It is part of their Calling Features and costs £2.59 a month. Also, if you can get the twintalk device, it allows you to plug two separate phones/answering machines into the line and recognises the different rings, thus giving the impression you have two separate lines. i.e. you can have a different message for business calls.0
