Sainsbury's money off total shop vouchers?

I had some Waitrose vouchers in my purse £4 off £40, £3 off £30 etc and the lady serving told me she could take them off too. So it's worth asking your local Tescos if they take Waitrose ones too!!! (Camberley Tescos definitely does)0

Thanks guys..............but I'm off to Asda today
I'll take them along and try. I do remember Tesco take them usually, the £? whatever off a total spend type shop, from other stores, but wasn't sure on Asda policy because they've started mucking about with what they can and can't take again.
I've been away and things change daily in our stores about voucher policy.

Wow - I had no idea I could do this. Got a stack of £5 off £50.
Thanks for the information0 -
Thanks everyone here for such valuable info on vouchers! It has been very very useful!0

I handed over a small bundle of vouchers today at Tesco, included in which was last weeks Sainsbury's £2 off £20 and this weeks Sainsbury's £2 off £20. I was overloaded with shopping to pack so just said to the cashier please scan what vouchers you can and I'll have the rest back. Anyway was quite surprised that last weeks and this weeks voucher went through OK. Especially as the guy said he could only accept one of each voucher as I had some duplicate Huggies and Pampers ones!0

Quick update............used 2 x £4 off £40 spend in Asda. One on a £37 shop and the other (son used) on a £77 shop.
So it seems they worked for me today, but tomorrow.....................who knows???

Update from me, I proved my comments in post no 8 (above) to be correct today. Used last week's out-of-date Sainsbury's £5 off £50 coupon on a £35 Tesco shop and it scanned fine inspite of the lower total......then the cashier noticed, asked a colleague and said, 'oh well I've accepted it now anyway'.
Then off I went to CS to reclaim almost £14 in R&R (see misprices thread, Scissor Sisters CD offer doesn't work with some film DVDs, after a quick discussion I got the CD and DVD free). A good day really!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Where are the Sainsburys money off coupons coming from ? I have been to Sainsburys twice today but no money off coupons0
-
They send them out to regular customers, like my Mum (not me). I bought some on eBay but most will have been sold/used by now, as we are 3 weeks into a 6-week voucher offer, IYSWIM.
Sainsburys seem to send these out about once a quarter, not sure exactly?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I used my £3 off £30 voucher succesfully today in Tesco. The checkout girl wouldn't take the out of date one though. Well I had to try .0
