Does anyone know if these vouchers will still be accepted in Asda or Tesco off of the total shop spend?
I've come back from holiday and have £4 0ff £40 spends for the next few weeks. Going to Asda tomorrow and wondered if they will take them. I know Tesco used to take them.
Any advice please????

I didn't know Tesco take Sainsbury's vouchers. Don't do enough shopping in Sainsburys, so the vouchers usually go to waste. I'm actually quite annoyed with myself now.

Tesco take them happily.
ASDA rejected mine as they had the nectar logo on them and they don't take anything relating to loyalty schemes I was told. I have ones now which are straight Sainsburys ones no mention of Nectar on them and am happily using them at Tesco (& Sainsbury), have not tried these at ASDA but they have lost my custom.0 -
When I first started using them at Tesco I was amazed that they can scan them and the tills know what money to take off.0

I think I'm right in saying that these will scan at Tesco even if you spend less than the amount stated. I think I did so once by accident and then saw on my receipt I had not spent enough (but the coupon had still scanned).
BTW they also still scan if they are out of date (and even before the date shown) I used this week's Sainsburys voucher last week at Tesco because I don't often spend much in one go and wasn't sure I could use it this week.
Doesn't make any difference to Tesco because they accept these as a straightforward loss-leader anyway, they can't reclaim the money from anywhere regardless of whether it's the 'right' week. If cashier noticed I'd have said 'ooooh, sorry, I didn't notice that!'

Even better! I have some catching up to do. Got 6 of them to use up. Do they only accept one voucher at a time?0 -

Should do, but in practice some cashiers won't notice! They will scan together at Tesco.
A few months ago I bought some £2 off £20 spend Sainsburys ones on eBay, 3 different times, so ended up with 3 different surnames on them. One particular cashier I knew was always happy to scan any 3 vouchers, never looked at them, as long as they scanned he was happy. Guess which 3 I handed over to him each week, on one £20 transaction?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
