Spell Checker not working in Word Pad?

I have Word Pad on my laptop and spellchecker is not working. It also does not work in e-mail or when posting of forums. Any ideas? I am going to update to Word 7 soon but my son has the disc and is not home for a few weeks so will have to continue with Word Pad for you.

    Apparently you can get a third party spell checker for wordpad.


    Firefox and Chrome have spell checkers, never use IE so don't know if it does, if you are typing stuff into a forum, if you want to create documents you could always use Open Office.
    That gum you like is coming back in style.
