MSN Messenger and Outlook problem

I have recently upgraded my MSN Messenger to MSN LIVE 8.0, however whenever I press my email link, it no longer opens up my Outlook, there seems to be no way of adjusting the settings to allow MSN to open Outlook when I want to read or write emails. Instead I find I have to open my outlook from the shortcut, this never used to be a problem with my old MSN. Does anyone know how I can adjust the settings within MSN to enable my outlook to link with it, or is this not possible with MSN 8 Live?

is it possible that in your start menu under email it says "hotmail" rather than outlook?

if so then right click on the start bar then properties customize and then default email client. should hopefully fix it

it works ok with thunderbird for me - it should just pick up you windows default email app.
try resetting them?

No its still listed as outlook

tried but it didnt help, for some reason MSN no onger wllows me to use my yahoo a/c

When you click start you should have a 'Set Program Access and Defaults' option.
Make sure outlook is set in there.

yes its set to outlook but still no joy
