Hi all,
My hotmail inbox opens but then the options on the left where it says inbox, drafts, sent etc is not there, the whole inbox takes up the whole screen starting from the blank delete boxes(the options of inbox, drafts etc is NOT there).
There is no next option to see next mail, all the e-mail font is blue,if I compose a new email which comes up with a huge out of proportion blank screen but then there is no send button on the whole of that screen.basically the whole hotmail style font format is not as what is used to be. Can anyone help I am so stuck as I need to mail important e-mails asap.
TIA

Hello,
Firstly - which browser are you using? Some examples are firefox, Internet explorer and chrome.
Basic things first (apologies if this sounds patronising):
1) Have you tried refreshing the page?
2) Have you tried closing all open browser windows and starting from scratch (i.e. going to hotmail and logging in again)
3) Have you tried rebooting? Turning the computer off and on again can fix a massive amount of problems (not every problem but still).
4) Slightly more complex now, have you tried using a different browser - if yes which browser and does exacly the same problem occur? If no - download an alternative - as suggested either firefox or google chrome and see if the problem continues.
From what you are describing it sounds like the page has failed to load correctly and has put what it did manage to load on the screen in an unorganized way.
If you are desperate to access your email - one solution might be to sign up to free a free googlemail account and link your hotmail address to it - assuming you can access googlemail without any problems.0 -
can you tell the screen resolution of the PC you are using?0

Hotmail has recently been updated.
if you move the mouse pointer to the left of the screen, does it change into a double-arrow?
if so, hold mouse key & drag to the right.
have you tried clearing cookies?
are you 100% up-to-date on updates?
are you using the current version of IE? 8
have you got any extra toolbars installed in the browser?0 -
Well definately try another browser as this could indicate where the problem lies!
Report back or message me if your problems continue!0 -

Hi again,I have dld Firefox and its all fine now. Another problem which I have had since last summer is that my PC speakers do not work:o. They used to work fine then one day last year when I switched them on,no sound was coming and still doesn't, so have left it and continue to do without audible links.:o
Hope I am making sense and if you could signpost me the right way.
TIA
