Replacing worktops in granite

    I have star galaxy black granite in my kitchen and although it looks beautiful it is a huge heat sink, three big slabs of the stuff, and in this weather the kitchen is cold. In future I will look for alternatives to granite.

    Sorry to barge into this thread ... but while we're on the subject of worktops, how easy is it to replace worktops, does removing and refitting dislodge the tiles and then all that has to be re-done (or not)

    I won't be doing it myself, as you've probably gathered
