WOW! I never thought I'd be praising a bank, but after managing (rather painlessly) to get my local branch to contact me regarding a £60 charge for going £7 overdrawn, I was really amazed to be told that the charge was excessive & it would be withdrawn!
I think the fact that I spoke to the bloke (I can't remember his name) like a human being helped as I tend to have been a little abrupt with bank staff in the past. Still, it would have been better to not have applied the charge in the first place as I'll bet that for every one of me, there's about 99 others who just pay it!
Nevertheless - Thanks to the guy @ Mile Cross HSBC in Norwich.
