Used car choice
I have had a 2004 Skoda Fabia Comfort 1.2 for 3 years now,its been a totally reliable car,48,000 miles from new, problem is my other half finds it uncomfortable thesedays, she has back problems and complains that the car is bouncy and gives a harsh ride,so it looks like i will have to part ex it..What for though,i don't really have time to look around all the dealers,so what i need is something with a comfy smoother ride, don't mind bigger, but don't want something which is to heavy on fuel, don't mind diesel. Any suggestions as to what models to look at please, have £5000 in total including part ex.

I would personally avoid a Skoda - they had a bad name years back, some people think they have done a come back but I still think that there cars are horrible to drive and to look at too.
The parts on one also will not be so easy to find in your local breakers yard!0 -

Complete rubbish, Skoda are the most reliable brand from the VAG Group, more reliable than Audi, VW, and Seat.
The OP is very happy with the Skoda he has, except the ride is a bit harsh for his needs.0 -

His opinion is that Skodas are not much good, your opinion is that they are.
Why not go and pick up your toys after throwing them all over the place and accept that people with different opinions to your own will sometimes disagree with you.
I'm sure you scared him with the bold and underlined text though. Scary...0 -

Because sassy is a troll and a poor one at that although he seems to have suckered you. I think you'll find he's currently called lil_smeg (pretty accurate IMO).0 -

I did not ask opion on Skoda cars, why would i when i stated i was more than happy with my Fabia, just need some advice on getting something bigger and with a bit more comfort for my partner. looking more into this forum i see this Sassy has posted much on there views on cars, not a lot of any use at all.......:D0 -
Comfort is so subjective. You are going to have to get your partner out in lots of different cars. Have they had any comfortable rides in other peoples cars. Could it be the case that they don't like the Skoda for other reasons? (the badge).0

I wondered that.
Too bouncy? So you want a firmer ride which will hurt her back more.0
