What a load of rubbish.
I ordered a small freezer for my step dad (84 years old) on the 9th of August should have been delivered on the 11th.
Delivery did not happen , when I rang up on the 12th I was told it was POSSIBLY because my address was different to the delivery address (fraud get it!).
I can not be the only person with elderly parents who have not got a credit card that orders on their behalf .
If it had been a big telly or some thing like I could have understood it a bit more.
My credit card is red hot on security when ordering on line as well as giving all you’re normal details and the 3 digit number on the back of your card it will not authorise any transaction with the retailer until you complete another security check which is not seen by the retailer.
When they get the OK its copper bottomed , but they still stopped delivery no phone call to either me or my step dad despite having THREE contact numbers .
The delivery was rescheduled for today which of course DID NOT HAPPEN.
I have had various conversations with telephone staff who just fail to grasp what its like for an 84 year old to stay awake all day listening for the door bell when I put that point to one girl she said WHY DON’T YOU GO OVER AND SIT WITH HIM as though I don’t have to go out and work..
They are a useless waste of space .
I have cancelled and will not deal with them again.

Try Dixons, free delivery, they deliver when they say, brilliant service.
if you have the model number put it into their website
Order through Quidco or Captain cash and you get cash back.
Good for you for cancelling.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Hi,
I assume that you are no where near Best Buy? We have just had a washing machine delivered from them, - no delivery charge (had to wait to 7 days for free delivery), took old one away for free, unpacked it for me, rang day before to confirm everything, then rang 45 minutes before delivery, turned up on time & put machine in kitchen - very polite, very good.

Thought I would bring everyone up to speed , thanks for your input.
I have had a phone call from Argos saying my money has been transferred back on to my card.
However, the good news is that I re ordered from Amazon on Tuesday morning and it was delivered this morning Wednesday 24 HOURS later . Eat that Argos.
Also more importantly (this being a money saving site) it was £17 cheaper I didn’t pay for express delivery but there delivery charges were higher but EFFICIENT all in all it was £13 cheaper and it arrived.!
I will not order from ARGOS ever again.0 -
Many companies will only deliver to the card holder addresses only. It's their policy and if you don't like it, you go elsewhere.
Argos however, should have made a phone call or contact in some way IMO.0
