Preferred In-Credit Current Account & Faster Payments

Ok Ive been utilising the Alliance and Leicster Premier Direct current account until recently. Just as a means to get the 5 percent interest rate . Doing a financial shuffle taking £500 out by faster payments with 2 seperate withdrawals and reinserting £500 mostly utilising faster payments via Tesco or Halifax.

The new offering from Santander requires £1000 deposit a month so was considering carrying on doing the same thing with 4 x £250 withdrawals by faster payment. However Ive seen on a thread that Santander are not utilising the faster payment service either out for this account is this correct.

If this is the case it makes the process to combersome.

Can people please confirm if the Faster payment system is still working with Santander new 5% current account offering
