Hi,
Brief History:
Offered on ideal house rejected by vendor until our house sold. Really wanted this but had to sell ours first, OH had all but moved in!
Checked with EA every week or so for 7 weeks with nobody else viewed or interested.
Finally got offer last friday on our house.
Checked with EA on saturday only to be told that house we wanted had accepted offer from other party also on the friday.
Coincidence????
Not sure what to do now, not going to gazump but would still be interested if the other party fell through.
Have the contact number for the vendor, but unsure how to approach or whether to go through EA.

Speak to the EA and re-iterate that you would be very interested should the sale fall throungh. I would be hesitant in contacting the vendor direct as they are paying the EA to deal with it for them and you don't want to risk getting their backs up.My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to sayIgnore......check!0
