Changing ebay user ID

Hi
Once you've changed ebay user ID does the feedback get linked to the new account automatically- which is what I'd prefer.
Or do people need to read the feedback from the old profile?
Would like to change ebay ID to a different one without having any effect on existing feedback built up if possible
