Is it possible to set up a wireless network...?

My wife has just bought a business and we're looking into the possibility of setting up a wireless network in her office. I've set up a few home networks, but this is a bit different.
The business currently gets internet access from the guy who owns the business next door. He has an adsl connection which goes into a wired router. There is then basically a hole drilled into the wall with an ethernet cable running through it from the router which then goes into the back of the main PC in my wife's business. (My wife pays him £10 a month for this!)
What my wife now wants to do is get internet access, exchange files from the main PC, etc. using her wireless laptop.
So what I ideally need is a wireless router/access point which would take the ethernet connection from next door and effectively become the hub for a sub-network.
So the question is: Is this possible and what hardware would I need?
I hope this makes sense!
All the PC's in question are running Windows XP with SP2.

The easy way if the router is positioned close, would be to replace his wired router with a wireless one.
Be aware though that you need to setup encryption, and have firewalls and good av software on your PC's because you are all effectively part of one network, and if they get a worm, you will get one, and are also potentially giving them access to your files.
The alternative is to buy a wireless access point, or get your own internet connection.

Why not just buy a wireless card for the main pc and then create an ad hoc wireless network (peer to peer) effectively? This would work in the short term although if she wants to extend the network to other machines then she'll need a wireless access point.553780080
