Headset for plain old telephone system (or usb?)

Need a handsfree (does not need to be wireless) solution for phoning - something like the old Plantronics headset - that plugs into either the ordinary phone line or maybe a usb gadget.
This is 'cos customers ring in and I then I realize they want to leave a complicated phone order that needs keying into the computer.
Any suggestions for models that allow you to grab a headset halfway through a call and carry on handsfree?

I reckon that it would depend on the type of phone you had and if you could connect something like the above into it0 -

Whats up with a current plantronics headset ?
I personally use a VoIP softphone with a "Logitech Premium USB Headset 350"NURSE: "Shouldn't it be sterilized, doctor?"

As incoming calls come into an BT Paragon 400 on the POTS with no additonal headphone socket, so far it looks like some Plantronics headset models with amp and switchover button are compatible. They are a bit expensive.
That Ebay item is going in the right direction but needs a proper headphone socket that the Paragon does not have. Will have a closer look at that Ebay store though.
There is a lovely DECT system from Plantronics - wireless headset that can be attached to practically any landline phone - alas they start at £150.0 -
As this place is supposed to be about saving cash

Great link - that item went for £1.99 (!) but I will haunt that Ebay store now0
