hey all, just came back from the supermarket, opened the boot, could not get it open
went into the boot via the back seats, notice the handle of the bag has wedged in the lock of the boot.
I have to pick two people up from Gatwick on wednesday, with access to the boot now a issue, this might cause problems with cases, any suggestions???

Cut/pull it out?
Got any pics, I'm struggling with this one lol0 -
Difficult to say exactly without knowing how your particular catch works, but the first thing I'd try would be to climb back into the boot, with a torch and a screwdriver, and see if you can gently ease the latch open using the screwdriver. Be careful not to break or bend anything, but this has worked for me in the past.0

I do this every few weeks in my estate. Something gets left over the catch, tailgate is locked and voila seems immovable.
Get a 2nd person to bounce hard on the tailgate/boot while you hold the release catch open, it should come free "on the bounce.
:) I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

I have been in hthe boot for hours no luck, I telephoned the car dealer I got the car from (only got it last month) they told me you need two people, one to bounce, the other to pull the bag.
The bag is a thick nylon one for shopping. The handle part seems to resting where the actual lock goes into the car. bit scared of sorting this, the boot is operated with a open/close remote locking, so dont want to break anything, may pop alng to the garage, i am sure it would only take them five minutesTrinidad - I have a number of needs. Yeah but 1 to bounce and 1 to hold the catch off as stated.
If you have only just got the car go back, they will (surely) glady sort this for you, any mention of a charge and get a couple or bruisers to sort it, (and them),
;)
This really is about squidging the bag further to enable the latch to release under it's spring tension, but say goodbye to the bagI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

get someone to bounce down on the boot while operating the catch from the outside, while you are inside the boot with a large flat headed screwdriver and a torch. The boot should have a latch that locks by means of a spring loaded arm that wraps around a thick pin, you need to lever this to assist it to open while your assistant operates the catch. You may need something like a piece of wood to distribute the force of the screwdriver as you will probably be levering it against the plastic boot trim panel:A R.I.P. The advisor drove it into the workshop,I sat down within minutes all done. I was in and out in two minutes, and no charge
got to be careful of those bags
