BT Business - line dead 3 days - compensation?

Hi all,
last month our BT Business line went dead for just short of 3 days.
As a business that relies on the 'phone and fax, it was more than a minor inconvenience. I don't have a mobile, so I had the calls diverted to an employee's one.
Unfortunately this means that we couldn't receive orders by fax. Our line also provides ADSL (via another provider), so internet, and thus e-mail, was inaccessible.
This happened days before our annual open day, and also the week before we exhibit at a trade fair. I think I spent the majority of each day on the mobile 'phone rather than working, in an attempt to get in touch with customers and explaining the situation. I was also ringing BT Faults regularly trying to find out when the problem would be fixed.
Just received the quarterly bill and received £4 compensation for 2 x whole 24 hour periods. Apparently it's only to recompense the outgoing calls made on the mobile and nothing else.
Is there a chance to apply for more compensation, and what's the way to go about it?
many thanks in advance,
-rapido

There is chance to apply for more compensation but you will probably need the help of you accountant for the claims, If you ask BT, they will send you what is called AFL pack "actual financial loss" .
You will need to complete the forms in the pack with full details of actual loss you incurred or business you lost, as a result of the line being faulty, and you will have to back up your claims with document evidence hence you might need your accountant to do the figures properly.Though the vision may not be the true future of man but it can't be completely beyond his control.0
